Lore: Castle Bat is a mysterious creature who appears most often when the world begins to disappear into twilight. Unlike the creatures that openly wander through unfamiliar lands, she prefers to observe from a distance. No one is entirely certain where Castle Bat came from. Some believe she belongs to an ancient branch of nocturnal creatures. Others believe she was born from a forgotten part of the Dolls Castle® universe—a place where darkness is not something to fear, but simply another way of seeing the world. Her enormous bat ears are among the first things anyone notices. They give her an unusually expressive silhouette, but they also appear to serve a purpose beyond appearance. Castle Bat is capable of sensing movements and changes long before others become aware of them. Her body is slender and graceful, yet her large palms create an unusual contrast with her elongated arms and legs. Her proportions do not follow ordinary humanoid anatomy. Instead, they give her the appearance of a creature shaped for a world slightly different from the one around her. Behind her moves a long tail, extending almost like a shadow of its own. Unlike Veloura’s detachable maple-leaf tail, Castle Bat’s tail is permanently part of her body. It follows her movements through darkness, making her silhouette instantly recognizable even from a distance. Despite her dark appearance, Castle Bat is not naturally aggressive. She is quiet, observant, and intensely curious. She prefers to understand a place before entering it and to watch a creature before deciding whether it should be approached. Castle Bat has a strange relationship with the other inhabitants of the Dolls Castle® Original IP universe. She often seems to know things before anyone else does. When something unfamiliar appears, Castle Bat may already have seen it. Some characters consider her mysterious. Others believe she is simply shy. Castle Bat never explains. She watches. As part of the Dark Furry side of the Dolls Castle® Original IP universe, Castle Bat represents the beauty of darkness, silence, and the unknown. She is not a monster hiding within the night. She is a creature who belongs to it.
